It gives me immense pleasure to serve Malakand, the largest Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. All its districts attract the tourists to explore its scenic beauty, snowcapped mountains, rivers and green meadows and to appreciate the hospitality of its peace loving people.
Malakand Division has a rich historical background. The Buddhist, Greek and Ghandara Civilization can be seen in Barikot, Odigram, Gulkada and other places.
The division possesses strategic position in the province due to its proximity as it touches Karakuram Highway at Besham, Afghan border with Dir, Bajaur and Chitral shares strategic Wakhan strip. From tourism perspective, Malakand division links the northern areas with rest of the country. The Districts Administration are putting all its efforts to provide better services to the public which has improved the governance system. The tourists across the country in general and the globe in particular can easily witness the rich cultural diversity like Shandoor Polo festival, Kalash and Broghil festivals in Chitral, Malam Jabba Snow Festival and Kalam Festival in District Swat.
The Divisional administration staffed with brilliant human resource in leadership of the worthy Commissioner Malakand Division is doing its best to ensure peace, sustainability, harmony and rule of law in the region. My best wishes and prayers for the land of culture, beauty, history and nature.
